Mary Lois Ellison

MINEOLA - Graveside services for Mary Lois Ellison, 80, Mineola, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.

Mrs. Ellison died Oct. 5, 2008, in Mineola.

She was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Golden to the late William Clyde and Mary Goldie Kirkpatrick Smith, and was a lifelong resident of Mineola. She was a retired nurse, and was a member of Church on the Rock of Quitman and Cancer Survivors Group of Mineola. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Ellison.

Survivors include sons, Richard Ellison, Lindale, and Mark Ellison, Quitman; brother, Joe Bob Smith, Mineola; sisters, Dorothy Juan Merriott, Mineola, and Billie Shirey, Longview; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
