Mary Helen James

Mrs. Mary Helen James, age 84 formerly of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010. She was born in Bowie County on October 21, 1925 to the late Grady R. and Beatrice Shook Cooper. She was a retired U.S. Government employee, a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisville, and a former member of Perryville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 38 years, Earl James, Sr., and brother, Billy Ray Cooper. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette Swatloski and husband Bill of Brazoria, Bonnie Morrow and husband Bobby of Double Oak; step-son, Earl James, Jr. and wife Sherron of Lake Dallas; step-daughter, Beverly Reeves and husband Danny of Dallas; brothers, Clecie Cooper and wife Irene of De Kalb, Joe Pat Cooper and wife Rita of Manassas, VA., Gary Cooper and wife Cheryl of Aubrey, Bryan Dean Cooper and wife Diane of Terrell; sisters, Hazel Casey of Abilene, JoAnn Meadows of New Boston; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
