Mary Virginia Johnson

Mary Virginia Johnson, 92, of Mineola, TX died on Monday, June 2, 2014 in Mineola. She was born on Tuesday, April 25, 1922 in Bangs, TX to the late Sidney K. and Lilly L. Chappell. Mary is preceded in death by her husband; William A. Johnson; one daughter, Wanda Fay Plunk; sister, Christine Griffin.

She is survived by her son, Johnny R. Johnson of Mineola, TX; six daughters, Martha S. Slayton of Swan, TX, Sally L. Williams of Mineola, TX, Mary L. Smith of Mesquite, TX, Dorothy N. Wheeler of Lindale, TX, Patricia A. Hanson of Ben Wheeler, TX, Mildred Warren of Mineola, TX; twenty eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola officiated by Rev. Jim Clark. Internment will be at Golden Cemetery.
