Mrs. Mary Lillian (Finch) Lee, age 92, of Mineola, Texas, died Friday, May 11, 2007, in Quitman, Texas. She was born March 25, 1915 in Prairie, Mississippi to the late Paul Finch and the late Emma (Wood) Walker. Mrs. lee was a charter member of the Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola where she was a member of the Golden Girls. She was active in the Lake Country Playhouse and the Delphians. She served on the Dallas Prayer Ministry was a member of the Civil Engineers Wives Club, taught in Children's Home Bible Club in Dallas and taught bible lessons to the poor in the projects of West Dallas in the 50's and 60's and was a hearer for the Bible Memory Association. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Lee in 1998 and by 4 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael P. Walker and her "lady bug" Leta of Mineola, Texas and Jerome T. Walker of Arvada, Colo.


Arrangements are being handled by Beaty Funeral Home, 630 West Broad Street, Mineola, Texas. Funeral service will be at Lake Country Bible Church at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2007 , Rev. Craig Lacy officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas at 2:00 PM Sunday.
