Mary Elizabeth Miller

Mary Pool Miller, 83, passed away November 16, 2012 in Frisco, TX. She was born in Troup, TX, September 15, 1929 to E. T. and Maude Pool. She graduated from Troup High School in 1947 where she was a cheerleader and held several class offices.

After graduation she went to Tyler Commercial College and was later employed as a bookkeeper in Henderson, TX.

In 1950 she went back to college and received BS and MEd degrees from University of Sam Houston in Huntsville. While in college she was voted by the faculty into Kappa Delta Pi, an honors group. She held certificates in Elementary and Secondary Education, and Supervision. She did post graduate work in Huntsville.

During her 25 years in education, she was a teacher, department head, and County Supervisor. She did extensive traveling in most parts of the world. Since her retirement, she enjoyed some travel, playing bridge, working in the yard, attending church activities, and most of all, enjoying the grandchildren. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mary is survived by son Dan Miller and wife Vivian, grandchildren Kristy and Danny Miller.
