Mary Yarbrough Traugott

Mrs. Mary Yarbrough Traugott, age 69 of Winnsboro, passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 at her home in Winnsboro. She was born to the late Burt and Inez Edwards Yarbrough in Cartwright on September 9, 1937. She attended Winnsboro High School, where she was Valedictorian for the Class of '56. She later married the late Marvin Traugott on June 16, 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, was a member of the Lake Cypress Springs golf and bridge clubs, she was also an avid square dancer with the DeSoto Stars for more than fifteen years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Tony Traugott, a sister Noka Henry, and step-father Marvin Collins. She is survived by her step-mother, Hallie Collins of Winnsboro; one son, Dennis Jordan of Garland; one brother, M.J. Collins of Tyler; one grandson, Austin Traugott of Benbrook; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
