Melba Irene Robertson

Mrs. Melba Irene Robertson, age 88 of Lone Oak, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 peacefully at her home. She was born on November 16, 1933 in Scroggins, Texas to the late Robert Wilbert McCown and Eva Irene Cook McCown. Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker and also worked for Southwestern Telephone in Dallas and John Inglis Foods in Santa Maria, California. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church and the Air Force Sergeants Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Clarence David Robertson; brothers, Rev. H.G. "Jack" McCown and Weldon Paul McCown and sisters, Kathalyn Coats and Beda Lillian Nash.

She is survived by her sons, David Bruce Robertson of Wickenburg AZ, Robert Allen Robertson and wife, Melody of Santa Barbara, CA, Arthur Dale Robertson and wife, Christine of Las Vegas NV; daughter, Debra Ann Robertson of Arroyo Grande, CA; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Bill Holmes conducting. Interment will be at Clearwater Cemetery in Scroggins.
