Melinda Jean Maynard

Melinda Jean Maynard Mrs. Maynard was born February 12, 1962, in Camp County, Texas, to the late Betty Hood Munn and Dean Munn. Married to Shawn J. Maynard on August 18, 1984. She passed away on July 9, 2021, in Tyler, Texas after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Survived by: husband, Shawn J. Maynard; children Andrew B. Maynard and Brandon T. Maynard; brothers, Marcel and Melvin Munn; sisters, Marilyn Miller and Shirley Wright. The family will receive friends at the visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15th at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Beaty Funeral Home chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County. Family has requested donations to be made in memory of Melinda Maynard to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation (www.hospiceofeasttexas.org). The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Hospice of East Texas; their care and compassion throughout Melinda’s last days on earth was exceptional.
