Melinda Frances Smith

Melinda Frances Smith, age 78 of Bullard, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 in Tyler. She was born on October 8, 1941 in Dallas to the late Talmage D. Smith and Naomi Majors Smith. She was a retired Telephone Operator and member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. She is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Rex Shirey of Bullard; brothers, George Smith and wife Karen of Willis, Tx, and William Smith and wife, Sylvia of Lakeland, Fl; and sister, Margaret Laskie and husband Freddie of Deer Park; along with a host of numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home, interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.
