Melvin Dean Thornhill

Melvin Dean Thornhill, age 77 of Mineola, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on July 13, 1944 in Portland, Oregon to the late Vernon Ned and Ruby Agnes Thornhill. Melvin was a preacher for 72 years. He like to build things and enjoyed ice cream at Dairy Queen with his grand kids. He is preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Thornhill of Mineola, Texas; sons, Jerry Thornhill of Mineola, Texas and Melvin Thornhill and Michele of Kaufman, Texas; daughter, Shezette Thornhill of Lone Oak, Texas; sister, Estalene Murphy of Big Springs, Texas; eleven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and special family friend, Jeremy Netherland. Memorial service will be on September 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas.
