Mrs. Mildred Thompson, 75, of Winnsboro, Texas, released her spirit unto God on March 21, 2024, after a few years of declining health. Mildred was born in De Queen, Arkansas, on February 8, 1949, to the late Wesley Armer and Anna Lee Farrell. Mildred married the love of her life on July 28, 1964 Ted Thompson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Thompson was a licensed cosmetologist for over 35 years and had many loyal customers through the years. She is survived by her children Judy Dunlap, Sheila Sutherland, Teddie Thompson, and JR Thompson, grandchildren, Chris, Mindy, Joshua, Erica, Joey, Jared, and Jake, and six great grandchildren. Mildred was a loving Wife, Mother and Memaw. She loved “The Land” and enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to country music. She traveled the United States with her family, and was the Presidential Award Winner for Regis Hairstylist winning a trip to Paris, France. She owned Texas Hair Designs before retiring. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caring staff of Lakeview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winnsboro for the care they provided Mrs. Thompson.
