Monica Marie Marks Hayes, age 33, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Quitman, Texas. She was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1978 in Germany to the late Daniel Ray Marks and Connie Phillips Marks. Monica graduated from William Smith High School in Killeen, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was a lover of a menagerie of animals. She was a most beloved mother and wife. She was imbued with vitality for she was young in body, mind, and sprit.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Linda Gail Pitts.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory James Hayes of Mineola; daughter, Alyssa and son, Dylan Huff of Bullard; ex-husband, Sammy Huff of Bullard; sister, Donna and brother-in-law, Melvin "Speedy" Hakenson of Alexandria, Virginia; nephew, Matt Hackenson and niece Casy Hackenson of Alexandria, Virginia; uncle and aunt, Dave and Aida Phillips of Harker Heights; cousins Ed and Terry Paul of Galveston; uncle and aunt, Lyle and Patty Marks of Texas; step-father, Michael Evenson of Alexandria, Virginia; brother-in-law, Chris Cronn of Austin; sister-in-law, Melissa Cronn of Georgetown; and nieces, Lisa and Laci Tackett of Georgetown.
Funeral services were held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 and Graveside Services to take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
Monica cherished her children and had great hope for their futures. She supported her husband through good times and bad. She was greatly loved by many people.
