Moorene Ward Boyd

Moorene Ward Boyd, age 94, formerly of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. Moorene was born on April 15, 1919 in Greenville to the late Jacob R. and Maude Buehler Ward. She was a retired kindergarten and high school teacher, former member of the Winnsboro Civic Club, and a member of First Baptist Church in Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Boyd; two brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Brown and husband Mike of Green Bay, WI., Dianne R. Newcomer and husband Rob of Monroe, LA., Mary Linda Walley and husband David of Shreveport, LA., six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnsboro Civic Club.
