Myra Estalene Ragan

October 16, 1916 — July 5, 2009

Mrs. Myra Estalene Ragan passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the age of 92. She was born on October 16, 1916 to the late J.T. Glasco and Amma Mullinix Glasco. Mrs. Ragan was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Winnsboro, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her unshakable faith, the beautiful poems she wrote, and the many lovely quilts she made. Mrs. Ragan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malden P. Ragan; brother, Noble Glasco and sister, LaVern Cheney. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and June Ragan of Tyler and Leo and Bobbie Ragan of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Melba and David Pierson of Tyler; sisters, Oleta Knotts of Dallas and Faye Boucher of Quitman; six grandchildren, Michael Ragan, Jeffrey Ragan, Randall Ragan, Leif Pierson, Derik Pierson, Tina Gail Ragan and one great grandchild, Matthew Ragan.
