Myrtle L. Bennett, age 91 of Hawkins, passed away, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Quitman. She was born on August 25, 1917 to the late Fred C. and Alice Oberia Leffel Lossing. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Floyd Eads Bennett in 2000; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Ross Hunter of Winnsboro; a son, Fred A. Bennett of Quitman; and two grandchildren.
