Nadine Ruth Hopkins

Nadine Ruth Hopkins, age 84, died Monday, August 29, 2011 in Quitman, Texas. She was born on Saturday, October 30, 1926 in Fannin County, Texas to the late Albert and Christine Dodson. She was a teacher's aide at Mineola ISD and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mineola. She was also a member of the Mineola Lions Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leeman Hopkins in 2001; and four brothers.

She is survived by a son, Stephen C. Hopkins of Mineola, Texas; a daughter, Deborah Cade of Mineola; three brothers, Clifford Dodson of Mineola, Lloyd Dodson of Bonham, Texas, and Stanley Dodson of Bonham; four grandchildren, Michael Cade, Wesley Cade, Cathleen Rikard, Susan Sweatt; and seven great-grandchildren, Abigail Cade, Asher Cade, Jonah Cade, Charles Sweatt, Taylor Harris, Alyssa Baldis, and Peyton Baldis.

Visitation for Ms. Hopkins will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 5 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Mineola on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.

Interment will be at Cedars Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
