Obituary for Nancy Clydine Chambers
October 3, 1936 - December 27, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Nancy Clydine Chambers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Dallas, Texas, Nancy dedicated her life to her family and her passions, leaving behind a legacy filled with joy and creativity.
A longtime member of Winterfield Baptist Church, Nancy was not only a devoted parishioner but also shared her musical talents as a church piano player. Her love for music shone through as she joyfully participated in gospel groups, spreading love and inspiration through song.
Nancy was a talented graphic designer, whose artistic flair was matched only by her love for adventure. Alongside her late husband, she enjoyed riding motorcycles, creating countless memories on the open road. An avid bowler, she delighted in the camaraderie of friends and family during spirited games. Travel was another cherished pursuit, with Arkansas and Louisiana holding special places in her heart.
Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Phillips and husband, Evert and Karen Smith and husband, Bill, who cherish the values and love she instilled in them. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jeremiah Quinn Phillips and Joshua Daniel Phillips and wife Jennifer, and her great-grandchildren Hayden Phillips and Lincoln Phillips, all of whom were blessed by her nurturing spirit and boundless affection.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde Anderson and Leola Anderson, and husband, Rev. Hillie Quinn Chambers
