Nancy McKinney

Nancy Carol McKinney, 84, of Gilmer, Tx, passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2026, peacefully surrounded by love of all of her family and friends and her faith in Jesus Christ, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and her beautiful family that she loved so much, while under the care of her youngest son Cal, his wife Misty, and two children Shea and Willow. Nancy McKinney was born on September 5, 1941, to the late Carl and Ruth Rhoads in Knox, PA . She is the oldest daughter of nine brothers and sisters. Survived by Sisters: Sandy DeCamp of Gulfport, MS, Faye (Frenis) Hoffman of Woodbine, MD, Arlene Smith of Knox, PA, Faith Abernethy of Mechanicsville, MD, and one brother, Von (Sheri) Rhoads of Knox, PA.

Nancy was a devoted and loving mother of eight children. Charles (Rebecca) McKinney of Titusville, PA, Cheryl McKinney of Omaha, NE, Lisa McKinney of Du Bois, PA, Hank McKinney of Longview, TX, Luke McKinney of Newton Falls, OH, Sunshine McKinney of Oil City, PA, Rebecca McKinney (Jason Thomas) of Titusville, PA, And Cal (Misty) McKinney of Winnsboro TX. Nancy has many beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few great-great- grandchildren, too many to even count. And she loved all of them unconditionally.

Nancy was a retired bakery worker from Walmart in Longview TX, but knew no meaning of the word. She found more time to spend with her loved ones, enjoying activities such as gardening, crafting, reading, traveling independently and with family, and, most importantly, attending church.

Knowing Nancy's presence with the lord brings us comfort, her faith brings us strength, and her love will give everyone peace.

Nancy is preceded in passing by both her parents, Carl and Ruth Rhoads; Two brothers, Arthur and Charles Rhoads; one sister, Constance Zotara; two grandsons, Allen and Benu McKinney

A celebration of life will be held at a later date by Misty McKinney. And Momma's ashes will be spread in the ocean in Florida so she can swim to and be with her mom on her birthday 2026, per her wishes.
