Nannie Mae Erwin

October 10, 1920 — June 27, 2011

Nannie Mae Bodiford Erwin was born to Mark Drew Williams and Nannie Walker Williams on Sunday, October 10, 1920. She grew up in a hard working family of brothers and sisters well known in Wood County. She worked all over the state of Texas as we moved about from South Texas to East Texas. She retired from Buddy Schoellkoph in Mineola, Texas. She loved to draw, yodel, play harmonicas, sing Christian songs, quite bible verses, and make our clothing. She loved being outside in the yard raking and keeping her place nice because you never knew when you would have visitors. She was a great cook. She made the best chocolate and coconut cream pies ever! She gave us strength, stood by our sides through thick and thin and always was truthful and honest. She is leaving us with a legacy of honesty, trustworthiness, caring for people in need and an unblemished name. She has always been a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved us all, and would be the first to tell us all to go forward with happiness without tears.
