Mrs. Naomi "Tootsie" Irby, of Sulphur Springs, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the age of 87. She was born in the Black Oak Community of Hopkins County on February 11, 1921, to the late Wallace and Abbey Mosely Wilson. She married Travis Irby in June of 1937 in Sulphur Springs. She was a homemaker and member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Harrell in 2003, a brother, Autrey Wilson, and a son-in-law, George Romine. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Travis Irby of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Jerry Irby and wife Paula of Pickton, Durwood Irby and wife Yuvonne of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Jo Ann Romine of Winnsboro; two sisters, Juanice Miller and husband Wayne of Pickton, Allie Ruth Hackler and husband Don of Celeste; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
