Nell Ann Jordan

October 8, 1938 — June 22, 2024

Nell Ann Jordan was born on October 8, 1938, in Pickton, Texas to Henry Taylor and Vera Causey Lile (Stone). She gained her eternal rest on June 22, 2024. Nell was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was marked by faith, family, and a love for nature.

On August 25, 1956, Nell married the love of her life, Joe Pat Jordan. Together, they built a beautiful legacy that began with their three beloved children. Nell was a lifelong member of Pine Forest Methodist Church, where she and Joe Pat worshipped faithfully. Her deep love for God and abiding faith was evident in every aspect of her life.

Nell had a special talent for gardening. She found joy and peace in planting and nurturing flowers and plants of all types. Her yard was a testament to her green thumb and her appreciation for nature's beauty. As her children started their own families, Nell embraced her role as a grandmother, and later, as a great-grandmother. To her beloved “grands” she was known as Granny. She was ever present in her families’ lives and could be found cheering for her grands at any event they were a part of. She was known for her strength in teaching life’s important lessons and her quick, unwavering love. To Nell, her family was everything.

Nell is survived by her son Jeff Jordan and his wife Rhonda of Pine Forest; her daughter Carolyn Woolverton and her husband Terry of Pine Forest, her daughter Sharon Carr of Garland; her brother, Don Lile of Virginia; her seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Pat Jordan; her parents, Henry and Vera Lile; her brothers, Bill Lile, Jim Lile, Henry Lile, and Ralph Lile, and her son-in-law, Donald Carr.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Jordan, Terry Woolverton, Nathan Jordan, Ryan Woolverton, Blake Jordan, and Jason Mahan.

Her spirit will forever be remembered through the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the faith that guided her.
