Odessa Darline Smith Hunter, age 74 of Winnsboro, passed away surrounded by her family, on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Winnsboro. She was born on January 5, 1949 in Fort Towson, Oklahoma to Dillard and Vertrice Smith.
She was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother. She always put her children first above all. Often sacrificing her own needs to provide for her children. She raised her children in church and taught them to follow Christ. Her favorite pastimes were games and puzzles and crocheting. She loved the Lord and served as youth Pastor under her father Pastor Dillard Smith. She was a mother to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Collins; father, Dillard Smith; brothers, Clint Smith, Gary Smith, and Roger Smith; son, Russell Felton.
Survivors include her mother, Vertrice Smith; sisters, Peggy Yaw and husband, Elliott, and Retha Cook and husband, Dale; brother, Paul Smith; sisters-in-law, Tau Smith and Beverly Smith; daughter, Karla Ross and husband Timothy Ross; sons, Richard Felton, Randall Anderson and spouse, Danny Anderson, Marshall Collins and fiancée, Becky Geraldon, and Lucas Collins and fiancée, Tammy Ciocatto; grandchildren, Brandon Ross and wife, Elizabeth, Amanda Ross, Kimberly Martin, Noah Collins and Isaac Collins; great grandchildren, Kaili Fisher, Faith Ross, McKenzie Dickens, Desiray Ross, Peyton Ogletree, Dawson Dickens, Elizabeth Ross, Jaxon Hayes, Madison Martin and Autumn Martin along with numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Fort Towson Cemetery in Fort Towson , Oklahoma at 2:00 pm.
