Odis Franklin Murphy

Mr. Odis Franklin Murphy, age 84 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012. He was born on Thursday, August 25, 1927 in Haskel County, TX to the late Doctor Franklin Murphy and Alta Faye Tibbs Murphy. He retired from a truck driving career spanning 40 years, and was a member and deacon of Sharon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hulene Whitworth, and brother, Arlon "Joe" Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Alline Caldwell Murphy of Winnsboro; sons, James F. Murphy and wife Debbie of Gilmer, Grayline Murphy and wife Rosa Lee of Hyde Park, PA.; daughter, Pat Ferguson and husband Larry of Winnsboro; sisters, Louise Dickey and husband Kenneth of Winnsboro, Belle McMullen and husband Dalton of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
