Mrs. Ola Faye Hallman, age 84, of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009. She was born in Wood County on July 9, 1925 to the late John D. and Leona Crow Corbitt. Faye was married to Cletis Hallman on January 17, 1948 at the Simpsonville Parsonage. Faye was a faithful member of the Pine Street Baptist Church for many years.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Hallman on June 18, 2000, her sisters Lois Alexander, Mary Pearl Cook, and Lucille Sanson, and one brother J.D. Corbitt.
Faye is survived by her son, Phill Hallman and wife Sandy of Quitman; grandson, Jake Hallman of Tyler; step-grandchildren, Robby Muetzenberg and wife Sara of Waxahachie and Jana Hollingsworth and husband Darin of Ft. Worth; step great grandchildren, Kaleb and Robyn Muetzenberg and Ashton Hollingsworth; one brother, Bob Corbitt of Winnsboro.
Faye was know for her kind spirit, wonderful cooking, especially her fried pies and her love of family and friends.
Faye spent the last few years of her life in the Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Winnsboro with her friend and roommate, Margie Morgan.
