Oleta (Moore) McClenny of Mineola, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007, in Tyler, Texas at the age of 85. She was born January 15, 1922 to the late David D. Moore and Sendie (Sutton) Moore in Lorraine, Texas. She grew up in Quitman, Texas and graduated from Quitman High School. She lived most of her adult life in the New Hope Community and in Mineola. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and also attended the First Baptist Church in Mineola. She started her working career as a seamstress at Schoelkopf Products in Mineola and then at Lorna Fashions in Mineola. She then work in the cafeteria for Mineola ISD. She worked for Airborn Industries, and her last job was working as a greeter at Wal-Mart. She loved her family very much. She was a wonderful cook but she also enjoyed going out to eat. Mrs. McClenny was an avid gardener and she loved to fish, travel and shop. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Coy Lee McClenny; two sisters, Gertrude Flatt and Nobie Dodson; and by a grandson, Michael Lee Moore. She is survived by, one son and daughter-in-law, Toby and Patricia McClenny of Thailand; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margie Lee and Orville Young of Garland, Texas and Bertha L. and James Q. Young of Garland, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Marjorie Moore of Garland, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Joyce McClenny of Jamestown, Texas and Claudelle McClenny of Mineola, Texas; six grandchildren, James Moore, Diron Young, Scott Young, Blair McClenny, Jeanine Moore and Brooke McClenny; several nieces and nephews.
