Opal Mcclure

Opal McClure, age 98, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Sunday, October 13, 1912 in Central Texas to the late Leonard and Mollie Hunter. She was a school teacher with a Masters Degree from Baylor University. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank McClure.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Thompson and husband Ken of Mineola: three grandchildren Mark Thompson of Mineola, Kevin Thompson of Grand Prairie, Texas and Dawn Parnell of Hondo, Texas; four great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Hico Cemetery in Hico, Texas at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.
