Pat Winston Ragsdale

February 1, 1946 — October 22, 2021

Pat Winston Ragsdale, age 75 of Winnsboro, passed away at home on October 22, 2021, with his wife Sue by his side. After a nine-year battle with cancer, Jesus opened a pathway to Heaven for Pat. His parents, Mr. Ragsdale (Bernice) and Mrs. Ragsdale (Hazel) were both schoolteachers in Winnsboro.


He was born and raised in Winnsboro. Pat was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in 1959. In 1964 he graduated from the "new" high school at WHS. Pat spent a lifetime supporting agriculture and owned Triangle Fertilizer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro. Pat and his wife Sue raised two children in Winnsboro and are blessed with four grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife and caregiver Sue; his son Ken Ragsdale and wife Elaina, and their 2 sons Conner and Cason; his daughter Patti Ragsdale Mayberry and her son Grayson and daughter Greenlee.


Pat chose cremation. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29 from 4 – 5 pm at The Cross at the home of Ken and Elaina Ragsdale, 270 CR 4228, Winnsboro. (Watch for orange arrows on the county road and driveway)

This isn’t goodbye, only see you later. The service will be led by Pastor Debbie Lyons, Brother Henry Suche and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Endowment Fund of First United Methodist Church Winnsboro.
