Patricia Loraine Hooten

Patricia Loraine Hooten, of Mineola, Texas, joined hands with her heavenly Father on June 6, 2022. Mrs. Hooten was born to the late James and Margaret (Breeden) Gentry in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a devoted wife to her husband of almost 49 years Ralph Hooten. The two of them were married in San Diego, California, in 1973. Ralph was in the US Army for 24 years and Patricia was a very supportive military wife during her husband's time in the service. She was an amazing scratch cook who enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family. Patricia had a servant's heart and was very thoughtful of others. She loved children and for a time worked teaching little ones in day care. Her biggest joy, however, came from focusing her attention and giving all the love she could to her husband, children, and granddaughters. Mrs. Hooten was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings Jimmy, Timmy, Kathy, and Judy. Patricia is survived by her husband Ralph Hooten; son, Christopher Hooten and wife Veronica Hooten; daughter, Wendy Hooten and husband Chris Howard; granddaughters, Madison, Madeline, and Katherine. A service to celebrate her beautiful life will be held in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
