Patrick David Stephens, 39, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2025. He was
born on May 6, 1985, in Papillion, Nebraska, to Chuck and Barbara Stephens.
A contractor by trade, Patrick was an accomplished carpenter. Many of the structures he’s built
stand as a testament to his dedication and skill.
Patrick loved nothing more than spending time with those he loved. At family gatherings you
could find him playing with the kids, always making sure they had a good time. He loved to fish
and to spend time with his children fishing, taking the opportunity to talk with them while doing
so, making sure they knew they were loved and supported. Patrick excelled in basketball, much
to the dismay of some of his siblings who enjoyed to play; as he also excelled in talking trash
about basketball. He also loved to sing karaoke, mostly to his beloved wife Rachel, but also
enjoyed singing publicly. Never once in his life, did he meet a stranger. He carried a warm
spirit and kindness that could be felt by all those he met.
Above all, Patrick was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. His love for
his family was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment spent with them. After a
courtship that began in middle school and carried on through high school and some of college,
he was reunited with the love of his life, Rachel Embry, on January 8, 2022. They combined
their families as one and began to build a life of love and memories.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel Stephens; his sons, Patrick Stephens Jr. and
Ace Smith; his daughters, Kadence Stephens, Laikynn Stephens, Alice Smith, and Audrii Smith;
his parents, Chuck and Barbara Stephens; his brothers, C.J. Stephens, Shawn Stephens, Eric
Stephens, Joseph Stephens and his wife Jessica, Logan Stephens, and Dakota Payton; his
sister, Rebecca Gilbreath and her husband Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of
which he adored.
Patrick’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His
laughter, kindness, and love for life will never be forgotten.
