Patsy B. Dorton

Mrs. Patsy B. Dorton, age 77 of Scroggins, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at her home with her family at her side. Patsy was born in Big Spring on September 13, 1936 to the late Aubry Z. and Alice Cleo Madilin Gay. She was a retired R.N. from the VA Hospital in Big Spring, and a founding and devoted member of the Living Word church in Leesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Mr. Louis R. Dorton; and daughter, Mechelle Hecker. She is survived by a son, Mark Dorton of Scroggins; one sister, Robbie MaGee of Scroggins; grandchildren, Courtney Rogers, Kaci Hecker, Charly Dorton, Savanah Dorton, Brieanna Dorton; great-grandchild, Corbin; niece and nephew, Thad and Susan Magee. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro; funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Living Word Church in Leesburg.
