Patsy Ruth Jacobs

Patsy Ruth Denman Jacobs, 87, of Winnsboro, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born to the late Mary Herbelin and Joseph Denman on February 3, 1933 in Lavon, Texas. Patsy graduated from Carrollton High School in 1949. She had a passion for caring for people and enjoyed working as a nurse until she retired in 1995. Patsy and Billy Ray Jacobs were married on November 2, 1951. They lived in Dallas, Oak Cliff, Casa View and Farmers Branch, Texas until retiring to Winnsboro in 1997. She is survived by Billy Ray, her loving husband of 69 years, two daughters; Jeri Lynn Owen and Paula Renea Jacobs, both of Plano, Texas. Two grandchildren; Beth Bauer and husband Brian of Sanger, Texas and Billy Owen of Mesquite, Texas. Two great-grandchildren Brianna Bassett and her husband Kody of Sanger, Texas and Keith Bauer and wife Tiffany of Southmayd, Texas. She was also blessed with three great-great grandsons: Grayson, Michael and Kolt as well as one on the way. Patsy loved family get-to-gathers, crafting, her church-Perryville Baptist and camping. She lived her life well and will be missed by many. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17th at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Procession to Perryville Cemetery will follow. The family request that all who attend please wear a mask.
