Paul Horton

Paul L. Horton, Sr., died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Thursday, February 16, 1939 in Mineola, Texas to the late Marvin and Leilia Horton.

He is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lou Curl Horton; two sons, Paul Horton, Jr. and wife Laura of Lafayette, Louisiana and Warren Horton and wife Kimberly of Quitman, Texas; six grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsey, Katie, Clayton, James and Autumn; two great-grandchildren; a sister Patsy Howle of Norman, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Mineola at 10:00 AM with Dr. Mark Neeley and Rev. Fred Morrow officiating.

Interment will be at Cedars Memorial Gardens in Mineola following the funeral service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of East Texas or First Baptist Church of Mineola.
