Paula Jean Garrett

Paula Jean Garrett was born in Golden, Texas on July 20, 1938.

She stepped over into eternity on May 12, 2023.

There, she will be welcomed into the Loving Arms of Her Heavenly Father and met by those who have preceded her...her Mother and Father, John Wesley and Reba D Jackson, of Mineola, Texas; her Husband of 49 years, Harry P. Garrett, Jr. of Mineola, Texas, her Grandparents, 1 Grandchild, Ryan Briggs Jr. and countless members of her Harpole and Bellomy family, who have resided in the Golden area for many years.

Left to enjoy her memories and celebrate her life are her Sister, Patricia Flynt of Arlington, uncle, Billie John Harpole of Golden, Texas, her daughter Michelle Briggs and husband Ryan, of Oklahoma, and her sons, Michael Garrett and wife Kitten of Golden, Texas and Milton Garrett of Mineola, Texas and Lee James of Mineola, Texas, who is both family and a friend to the Garretts. She is also lifted up in loving memory by six grandchildren, Brooke, Ashlyn, Ty, Darby, Grace, June, and and 4 great grandchildren who lovingly knew her as ‘Meme’, nieces, Jacquelyn and Laurie of Arlington, Texas.

Throughout her life, Paula was always known as a hard worker, helping to operate several successful

businesses in the downtown Mineola area, most notably, Mineola Supply Company, which was in

business for over 30 years. She was also an untiring Mother, who raised her children with love and led

them into life, leading by example and was a Lady in all things that she showed them. She was a lifelong

member of the Eastern Star and a member of the former Golden United Methodist Church, in Golden,

Texas, a church which her family attended for many generations.

She loved music, gatherings and seeing her family succeed and grow.

She will be missed by all until we meet again around the Throne of God.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Golden Cemetery.
