Mrs. Peggy Adel Hopper passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the age of 78. She was born on September 8, 1933 to the late Ira Elmo White and Gladys Patrick White. Mrs. Hopper lived in Winnsboro for twenty-seven years, having moved from Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro and a Honorary Rotarian in Altus, Oklahoma. Mrs. Hopper was a member of the Standard Club, Winnsboro Library Board, a Presbyterian Hospital Volunteer, and was a founder of the Winnsboro Christmas Decorating Committee. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Jerry Hopper of Winnsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Brenda Hopper; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Bell; six grandchildren, Joshua Hopper, Michele Hopper, Jacob and his wife Jennifer Bell, Justin Bell, Kameron Bell and Caleb Bell; and one great granddaughter, Makenzie Bell.
