Peggy Jean (Tipps) Lindley, 82, of Winnsboro, Tx., passed away on December 2, 2023. No more tears and no more pain. She was born on February 26, 1941, in Abilene, Texas, to the late Cecil and Mary Rawlins Tipps. Peggy worked as a secretary for several entities including the Chamber of Commerce, First United Methodist Church, and lastly for Judge Cindy Weems in the JP's office. Mrs. Lindley was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. Peggy loved sewing but more importantly she enjoyed attending her children's and grandbabies' activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father Dean Eckiss; beloved husband of 61 years Gerald Don Lindley in 2019; and a brother Terry Tipps on November 24th of this year. Mrs. Lindley is survived by her son Steven Lindley and wife Brenda; daughter Tina Romine and husband Tracy; daughter Lisa Boyette and husband Sid; sister Deborah Landry and husband Bob; sister-in-law Ima Searcy; grandchildren Hali Naron and husband Jason, Kelly Robinson and husband Ryan, Kristi Russell and husband Jordan, and Tanner Lindley and wife Shelby; great-grandchildren Conner and Bailee Boyette, Jace and Jax Naron, Madison and Maverick Russell, Emma Claire and Blake Robinson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The funeral will take place in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Ronny Spence officiating. Burial will immediatly follow at Smyrna Cemetery.
