Mrs. Peggy McAdams, age 76 of Emory, passed away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at Hospice of East Teaxs-Homeplace in Tyler. She was born on December 20th, 1940 in Dallas to the late Morris Storrs and Viola Valree Dean Storrs. She was a jack-of-all-trades, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Emory. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Valree Pauline Spikes; a son, Bobby Bert McAdams, Jr.; brother, Morris Storrs; and step-daughter, Rita Jean Rutledge. She is survived by her husband Bobby Bert McAdams of Emory; daughters, Doris Jean Johnson of Mineola, Carrie Diane Spikes of Emory; sisters, June Averett of Dallas, Willie Mae Cox of Whitney; seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at Maple Springs Cemetery HWY 11 E. Newsome, TX at 3:00 pm, Bro. Jimmy Jarrett conducting; Morris Hallman, Jimmy Hallman, Claude McAdams, Johnny Spikes, Jeffrey Spikes, and Jack Johnson will serve as pallbearers.
