Peter Smith

Peter Smith, 99 of Mineola, Texas passed away on March 15, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1922 in Red River County, Texas to the late Struffing and Nancy Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of Silom Baptist Church. He honorably served the Navy during WWII and he loved gardening. Peter is preceded in death by sons; Charles Smith and Lavoid Frater, and twelve siblings. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Bertha Smith of Mineola, TX, sons; Carnel Smith and wife Zona of Dallas, TX, James Edward Smith of Paris, TX, Burnett Smith of Killeen, TX, James Peter Smith of Dallas, TX, daughters; Nancy Smith of Killeen, TX, Colete Smith and husband Roy of Killeen, TX, Sandra Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Annette Smith of Lindale, TX, twenty six grandchildren and forty seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX from 6 to 8 PM. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Cedar Memorial Gardens at 2:30 PM in Mineola, TX.
