Phillip Edward Faulconer was born to Benjamin Merle and Rosa Lee Faulconer on February 13, 1952, in El Dorado, KS. While growing up, he moved around with his family and lived in several places before coming to Texas as a middle school student. When he wasn't focused on learning, he helped his family care for their farm and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and various outdoor activities with his brother, Roger. He received his diploma from Lewisville High School in 1970, and met his first wife, Cindy, in the band while playing the trombone.
After he married, Phil became a very proud and devoted father to Stacey in 1977, and again to Meredith in 1979. While working for Haggar Clothing Company and raising his daughters, he earned an Associate's degree from Eastfield College in 1980. He then went on to become a sales engineer for Acudata, Inc., where he passionately and diligently worked for over 25 years, and retired as Co-Owner in 2011.
Phil met Lin in 1994, married in 1996, and became a proud father to Steve and Stacey through their union. He welcomed Andy into his life via his youngest daughter's marriage in 1998, and later became a loving grandfather to Emily in 2002 and Penelope in 2006. He soon earned the name "Pa" and took great delight in spending time together with the entire family at the "gatherings".
Around the age of 30, Phil was introduced to the greatest passion in his life, golf. He took the game very seriously, reading and studying everything he could about the sport, but also having the most fun when playing. Phil was extremely avid about education and life long learning, and golfing provided him the opportunity to challenge himself both physically and mentally each time he practiced and played. In his 40's, he took special interest in home brewing, approaching it with the same tenacity he did with everything else in his life. His award winning brews satisfied the taste buds of many, and he especially enjoyed both the brewing and drinking of his beer with family and friends.
Phil lived most of his life in the Dallas suburbs, but always wanted to live on a golf course out in the country. As he did with all his other interests, he approached this dream with persistence and determination, and accomplished his goal when planning for retirement. Holly Lake Ranch is where he decided to settle, eventually finding his perfect place along the 16th fairway of the course. He spent the last journey of his life doing the things he loved the most: learning, brewing, golfing, and most especially, spending time with his friends and family. Phil never met a stranger, and he will be greatly missed by all whose lived he touched.
