Our beloved mother and grandmother, joined the faithful in Heaven on August 5, 2022. Phyllis Rae Alexander, of Garland, Texas, was born on August 27, 1933, to the late Bill and Frances Wasson in Putnam City, OK. Phyllis was a graduate of Putman City High School and married her late husband James H. Alexander, Sr. on August 28, 1954. She and James made Wood County home for a number of years. They were once members of Hainesville Baptist Church and Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Alexander loved to bowl and travel around the world. She is survived by her son James H. Alexander, II and his wife Kristen, son Robert Alexander; 5 grandchildren James Timothy Alexander, Jacqlynne Drew Wilson, Kalin Harding, Mikah Danielle Alexander, and Cole Harding Alexander; 5 great-grandchildren Tristan Alexander, Madeleine Alexander, Lane Alexander, Beau Alexander, and Kelsey Wilson. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13th in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home, 5320 S. State Hwy. 37, Mineola, Tx. 75773. The funeral will follow visitation at 3:00 p.m. and burial will occur in Concord Cemetery.
