Preston Wayne Winkle, age 76 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Tyler. Preston was born in Scroggins on October 30, 1937 to the late Grady G. and Lobelia Scroggins Winkle. He was retired from the oil field, a Baptist, and a member of the Winnsboro VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Winkle; a son, Rodney Winkle; one brother and one sister. He is survived by his son, Stanley Winkle and wife Shawna of Fairfield; daughters, Carol Woodfin and husband Mark of Winnsboro, Judy Martin and husband Bradly of Winnsboro, Donna Taylor and husband Eddie of Winnsboro; brother, Bill Winkle of Winnsboro; sister, Sue Holt of Winnsboro; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
