Quinton Randall "Randy" Keel
Quinton Randall "Randy" Keel, 54, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, in Mineola, Texas, following a brief illness.
Born on October 30, 1971, Randy grew up in Quitman, Texas, and graduated from Quitman High School in 1990. He was a devoted father, veteran, and patriot who loved his country deeply. Randy honorably served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force Reserve. Throughout his military and civilian careers, he devoted his life to Mortuary Affairs, serving the Department of Defense, the Department of the Army, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Through this work, he helped ensure that America's fallen service members were honored with dignity, respect, and the gratitude of a grateful nation.
A lifelong learner, Randy earned a Master's Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, Bachelor's Degrees in Business Management and Chemistry from the University of Maryland, and an Associate Degree from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
Randy will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, intelligence, and unwavering love for his family.
Randy is survived by his beloved daughters, Tasman Keel and Amsie Keel; his brother, Courtney Keel and wife, Sabrina; his father, Leon Keel; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Humphreys; his maternal grandparents, Barna and Shirley Hudman; and his paternal grandmother, Eunice Keel.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Aspen Hospice in Quitman for their care during Randy's final days.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Mineola.
Interment with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
