Rayburn Clyde Screws, age 72 of Gilmer, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Gilmer. He was born in Winnsboro on December 19, 1939 to the late Howard and Elzie Nichols Screws. He was a retired welder and a Baptist. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Yazell and husband Richard of Gilmer; life partner, Ruby Brown of Gilmer; brothers, Jerry Scott and wife Rosalind of Tyler, Johnny Howard Screws and wife Debbie of Mesquite; two grandchildren, Brannon Yazell, Brandilyn Moore; three great-grandchildren, Sheadon Moore, Shaina Yazell, and Addison Moore. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro; services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2pm at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery-Wood County, Bro. Neal Thornburgh conducting. If you do not wish to send flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
