Raymond Ray Hanson was born in Mineola to Jim & Ruby Hanson on Sunday, February 27, 1927. He died in Mineola on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 – his 86th birthday.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife of 43 years, Natilou Hanson, 1 brother Billy Wayne Hanson and 1 sister Jean Collins. He was also preceded in death by his son in law, Wilmer Little
A lifelong resident of Mineola, Raymond was a veteran who served in the United States Navy in the Korean War. He married Natilou “Wartie” Harvey Hanson on October 18th, 1947. They had three daughters, Dianne Hanson Little, Cathy Hanson Banks and Donna Hanson Hazzard. He owned and operated Hanson’s Gulf station in downtown Mineola from 1961 – 1986. He enjoyed life in the country on his catfish farm – fishing and hunting. He was a member of Rosehill Baptist Church.
Raymond is survived by 3 daughters, Dianne Little of Whitehouse, Cathy Banks and husband James of Mineola and Donna Hazzard and husband Tommy of Sheridan, Arkansas. 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. 3 brothers, Travis Hanson of Flint, Bobby Hanson of Quitman and Edward Hanson of Flint. 1 sister, Louise Vaught of Tyler.
If you were blessed to have known Raymond – you probably have been affectionately referred to as Clem Kadidlyhopper at least once in your life.

Visitation for Mr. Hanson will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5 – 7 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home with Tom Hanson and Michael Mize officiating.
