R.C. Mitchell

Mr. R.C. Mitchell passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the age of 91. He was born on September 23, 1917, to the late John M. Mitchell and Sarah Pearl Randolph Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell served in the U.S. Air Force and married the former Pauline Whitter on November 2, 1946. Mr. Mitchell was a livestock dealer and was co-owner of Mitchell Livestock Commission. He was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Pauline Mitchell, on July 29, 2001, and one sister, Mittie Lou Calvert. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Eloise Mitchell of Winnsboro, daughter and son-in-law, Kenny and Paula Cox of Kaufman; six grandchildren, Kevin Cox, Angie Mirkes, Ashley Brewer, Rena Wagner, Brandon Mitchell, and Sarah Stout, and by thirteen great grandchildren.
