Regina Faye Knickerbocker

July 25, 1939 — January 31, 2025

Regina “Jeanie” Faye Knickerbocker, age 85, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2025. She was born on July 25, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, to Leonard Looper and Cleo Regina Smithey Looper.


Jeanie is preceded in death by her beloved husband James “Jim” Knickerbocker, who passed away on March 26, 2014, both parents, and by her brother Leonard “Sonny” Looper


Jeanie enjoyed a very diverse career spanning over 55 years, including owning and managing her own dance studio which was a passion for her. She also worked in management or administrative positions in the nursing home, banking and freight forwarding industries.


In Winnsboro she was a very active member of numerous civic and professional organizations including Beta Beta Rho, Business and Professional Women’s Association, Pilot Club, Standard Club, the Winnsboro Autumn Trails Association, and the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce. Jeanie was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Winnsboro.


Jeanie absolutely cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Mary Wilson and husband Bob of Winnsboro, James M. Knickerbocker and wife Sherry Ann of Rowlett, Texas, Jeffrey W. Knickerbocker and wife Sherri Kay, of Winnsboro, John K. Knickerbocker and wife Leah of Justin, Texas and Margaret Kay Ivey and husband Ricky of Scroggins.


She also leaves behind her dear grandchildren Jimbo Knickerbocker wife Erica, Chris Wilson, wife Tara, Kelly Reynolds, husband Devin, Joshua Knickerbocker, wife Alyssa, Stefani Pool, husband Jacob, Jacob Knickerbocker, wife Sarah, Jared Knickerbocker, Dylan Ivey and Dustin Ivey. In addition, these great-grandchildren Kathryn, Kaitlyn, Cali, Ryker, Bane, Gabe, Lane, Jameson & Kirby.


In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Winnsboro, in her honor.

Jeanie’s legacy of love, dedication and community service, will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
