Loving father and husband, Rex

Dickson, age 73 of Mount Vernon

went to be with the Lord on the morning

of Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

Mr. Dickson was born Aug. 16,

1936 in Winnsboro, Tex., to Julian J. and Oma E. Dickson.

He graduated from Birdville High School in Fort Worth in

1954. He worked as a manager for Worth Food Company

and for several years at General Dynamics. He worked as a

truck driver for Varo. After retirement, he worked in maintenance

and as a handyman.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth Dickson;

two daughters, Cindy Hill of Fort Worth and Julianne Dickson

of Mount Vernon; a son, Ben Dickson of Mount Vernon;

three grandchildren, a brother, Billy Dickson of Winnsboro;

and a sister, Margie Stafford of Birkenfeld, Oregon.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 29,

2010 Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction

Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Dr. Steven

Diaz officiating.
