Richard Boatman

Richard Garrett Boatman passed away on May 17, 2023, in Quitman, Texas. He was born on July 5, 1929, in San Juan County, New Mexico to the late Richard and Gracie Boatman.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Boatman of Quitman, Texas, and children, Vicky, Susan, Garrett, Jeff, and several grandchildren.

Richard served in the United States Army. He was a deacon at Bethel Baptist in Aztec, NM. He worked as an electrician. He enjoyed working in his yard and camping in the mountains. Richard most liked being with his wife, Mary. He was a loner and not one for company or groups of people. He did play Mexican train occasionally with friends and family.
