Master Sgt. Richard W. Kyles, Jr. U.S. Army, retired, 85, of Mineola, Texas, answered the call to join the saints in heaven on March 13, 2022. He was born on December 30, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Richard W. and Ruth (Farrar) Kyles, Sr. Richard served with honor and distinction for over 30 years in the U.S. Army having worked in military intelligence, a member of the101st Airborne, and a Vietnam veteran. Master Sgt. Kyles was awarded the Bronze Star for acts of valor during the war. Once retired, Mr. Kyles was a longtime member of Smith Chapel Methodist Church. He participated in the Bill Glass Prison Ministries, and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association going across the country to different prisons to spread the good news from the gospel. He is survived by his loving wife Severine L. (Geisler) Kyles; son Richard Kyles III; daughter Kimberly Miller and husband Jim; brother John E. Kyles and wife Rachel; grandsons Richard Kyles IV, Andrew Derrick Kyles; and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas, with Pastor Jim Pickens officiating.
