Rickey Lynn Stephens

Mr. Rickey Lynn Stephens, age 72 of Winnsboro, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1950 in Winnsboro to the late Charles Stephens and Syble Hass Stephens.

Rickey was a longtime member of Crossroads Baptist Church. His career started as a pipeline helper as he trained to become a welder and supervisor until he retired. In early years, he rode horses and enjoyed going on trail rides with his family. His lifelong hobbies included hunting, gardening, and farming on his family farm. Later in life he spent time playing daily domino games with his wife, gardening and celebrating holidays when his whole family would come to the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Syble Stephens and brother, Larry Stephens.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Snuckie Stephens of Winnsboro; daughters, Christi Tyson and husband, Derek of Sulphur Springs and Casie Savage and husband, Ryan of Van; brother, Terry Stephens and wife, Maxanna of Elysian Fields; five grandchildren, Logan Lawrence and wife, Emilee, Lyndsi Stinnett and husband, Cody, Landry Tyson, Skylar Savage, and Ryder Savage; three great grandchildren, Lennon and Maddox Lawrence and Whitley Stinnett. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Beaty Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Morrow and Bro. Kevin Hollowell conducting. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Logan Lawrence, Cody Stinnett, Landry Tyson, Ryder Savage, Ryan Savage, and Derek Tyson serving as pallbearers

Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Andrews, John Patrick, Gene Norton, Goose Micheals, Scott Garrett, Jimmy Garrett, Edward Spence, and Benny Cowser.
