Robert Wayne Brunson

Robert Wayne Brunson, affectionately known as "Cowboy Bob" to his friends, passed away on December 11, 2020 in Winnsboro, Texas. He was born on January 27, 1938 in Dallas to the late Glenn Franklin Brunson and Alma Garrison Brunson. Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. Mr. Brunson was a resident of Winnsboro for the past 27 years having come from Carrollton, Texas. He and his wife Marsha loved the country life and made many dear friends along the way. Robert was a deacon for Clearwater Baptist Church. Mr. Brunson enjoyed raising cattle and horses. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Conor McCadden; brothers Joe E. Brunson and Jerry D. Brunson; sister Betty Jean Allen. Mr. Brunson is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Marsha Jordan Brunson; son Jeffrey Wayne Brunson; daughter Laura Denise McCadden and husband Andy; 6 grandchildren Ryan McCadden, Sean McCadden, Jerromy Brunson and wife Anais, Christina Powell and husband Michael, Travis Brunson and wife Jehnny, Niki Frost and husband Alex; 3 great-grandchildren Avery Brunson, Jullian Brunson and Lola Brunson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 14th at Clearwater Baptist Church. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Lee Cemetery.
